Questions
How long does a 14.2 kg LPG cylinder last?
A family of 4 cooking two meals a day typically uses 0.3–0.45 kg a day, so a 14.2 kg cylinder lasts about 30–45 days. Pressure cookers, lids on pans and a clean burner make it last longer.
How do I check how much gas is left?
Weigh the cylinder and subtract the tare weight (TW) stamped on its collar, usually about 15–16 kg for a 14.2 kg cylinder. A full domestic cylinder weighs around 29.5–30 kg.
When should I book a refill?
Book a few days before the expected empty date — deliveries usually take 1–3 days. Many distributors and oil company apps also let you book on WhatsApp or by missed call.
